Head of Turkey Real Estate Federation, Yavus Selim Madenli, analysed the type of real estate that is selling the fastest in Turkey and stated that 90% of the properties in luxurious, high market development sell before the project is complete, while developers can only 50% of the units for cheaper developments. Mr Madenli said "The properties that we can categorize as luxury projects priced higher than 400,000 Turkish Lira sell the fastest in Turkey. While cheaper units sold quicker in the past years, this has changed and more expensive unist see a higher demand at the moment. In addition, in the past few years the demand for studio flats have increased greatly. Studio flats are cheap to purchase and very easy to rent out. Due to the high number of students in larger cities and increasing number of young workers who live away from their family increased the demand for studio and 1 bedroom flats.

I believe in the next few years, more than 85% of the developments in Turkey will be either studios or expensive clever buildings."
