It was put into service in Zülfaris Synagogue building in 2001. The museum is Turkey’s first and only one available in this area.
Visiting Days and Hours: Monday - Thursday between 10.00 - 16.00, Friday and Sunday between 10.00 - 14.00. Closed on saturday and on some special days.

In Beyoğlu district of İstanbul, on Köşebaşı, there is a building with door number 29. It has
three flours. This is the house in which famous Polish poet Mickiewicz lived and died.
Visiting Days and Hours: 09.30-17.00 hours every day except Mondays is open to visitors.
Entrance fee: 2 TL.

ANATOLIAN TOWER MUSEUM

It is located in the side of Istanbul which took its name from the tower, so the museum is in the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus. Anatolian Tower is the first tower made by Ottomans which aimed to take control of the transitions in Bosphorus. It was made by Sultan Yıldırm Beyazıt in 1394 in order to prevent the aids which will come to Byzantine through Black Sea. It covers seven acres and gave the name to the place. Some repairs were done by Kandilli Municipality in 1928. And additional repairs were made by the Ministry of Culture between the years 1991-1993. Today, Anatolian Tower is located within the borders of Beykoz Municipality, however it is not open to visitors.

Military Museum is one of the leading museums of the world in terms of its richness and variety of collections. The founding of Military Museum goes back to 15th centuries. The famous Turkish poet Tevfik Fikret lived in this house between 1906-1915, and then it was bought by the İstanbul Municipality in 1940 from Tevfik Fikret’s wife. At first, his dead body was in Eyüp Cemetery then he was transferred to this garden. It has been called “Aşiyan Museum “ after this.

St.Irene is the first church of Byzantines
Konstantin built St. Irene church upon Roman temples in 330 while he was re-establishing the city. Hagia Irene or Hagia Eirene’s dictionary meaning is ‘ Holy Peace ‘. She was also a saint at those times. Her real name was Penelope and she tried to spread Christianity. She was thrown into a dip full of with snakes by Putperests, however she did not die. Although she was stoned, she did not die again. Putperests converted into Christianity after these miracles and Irene became a saint. Emperor Konstantin named this building as St. Irene due to her miracles.
Visiting Days and Hours: It is not opened to visits. It can only be visited with the permission of the St. Sophia Museum Directorate.

It was constructed by Saffet Pacha in a neo-classical style in 1865 and used for İstanbul Darülfunun services. International Art Exhibition was opened here in 1875 during the Darülfunun times. It was used as a censorship building during II.Abdülhamit. It was transfered to İstanbul Municipality in 1908. Numerous parts of the municipality were located in this building from 1908 to 1983. There is no entrance fee in this museum.

BEŞİKTAŞ GYMNASTİC CLUB MUSEUM

When this museum was opened, the owner of the throne was II. Abdülhamid. Currently, Besiktas is a well known club.

Doğançay Museum, which is the first Personal Modern Art Museum of Turkey, opened
its doors for art lovers in October 2004. The museum is located in a historical building of 150 years in Beyoğlu, which is the culture and art centre of İstanbul. When it was bought by Burhan Doğançay in 1999, the building was isolated and wrecked. It reached its old glory after the renovations which took 4 years.

It is part of the Archaeological Museum. It was organized in 1917 by Halil Erdem and then opened to service. In this museum, 15,000 archaeological works are exhibited which belong to the Old Mesopotamia, Anatolia before Greek, Ancient Egypt and pre-Islamic Arabia.

It was opened in 1952 in Ihlamur Kasrı, then later moved to Gülhane Park in 1983. The museum has documents and objects belonging to the years of 1839-1876.

It is located between Edirnekapı and Haliç. According to the researches, it belongs to 13th century. It has an important place in the world art history not only because it is the only palace survived from Byzantines, but also it reflects the civil architecture of Byzantines. It is not known when and by which architect it was built.
Today, Tekfur Palace is roofless and has three flours. It was purposed for different purposes after the conquest of İstanbul in 1453.
Visiting days and hours: It can be visited with the permission of Hagia Sophia Directorate.

It is not known when the construction of  Topkapı Palace began. It is not a building built by just one plan. It has grown and changed like a living organism. There are different types of buildings both for the Sultan and palace workers in the palace.
Topkapı Palace lost its function as the state centre as it was left empty in 19th century. The palace was turned into a museum in 1924. In the museum, there are lots of objects of
sultans and caliphs. Kasikci Elmasi and Topkapı Hançeri are the most important ones and
well worth seeing.

a mosque in Şehzadebaşı. The mosque was built by II. Mustafa between the years of 1644 and 1702.
