Turkey Cesme Discovery Guide (Daily tour idea)

You can start the day in a breakfast cafe and taste the best olive and cheese varities. We advise you to have your breakfast in Alacati where you will find the most popular cafes for breakfast such as Alacat, Kose kahve, Kuytu, Agrilia, Kirevi hotel. You can try melemen...

After breakfast, you can use dolmus or taxi to Alacati surf paradise (where you can find 3 beach clubs and 2 surf schools) or Dalyan. In Dalyan, you can go to Aya Yorgi Bay where you can find several beach clubs and restaurants. If you are looking for loud music and beach parties you can choose Sole Mare or Shayna. Alternatively, if you are looking for a place where you can relax Paparazzi is the answer. For those that are on a tight budget but still want to see this place, Deniz Cafe and Restaurant is a good option. This place is between Sole Mare and Paparazzi.

We do not advise you to see Cesme centre bazaar before 7:00 pm because Cesme has a very strong sun, and the bazaar is more delightful during afternoon hours.

After 4:00 -5:00 pm you can go to Ilica, Alacati or Cesme centre to have a Kumru (famous local sandwich, best ones are called "Yengen" or "Super kumru" ) Kumrucu Sevki is one of the famous one.

If you eat your kumru in Ilica you can take a walk to Yildiz burnu which has very nice cafes. The best one out of all is No15 cafe (hot heart cake is the special dessert) or alternatively you can chose Tius.

For those who like to watch the sun set, Cesme is a perfect spot in Turkey. The best place to watch this romantic moment is the Sun Set Bar in Pasalimani. Unfortunately you have to have a car or take a taxi as there is no dolmus (minibus) service for this place. You can also go to Cesme marina and find a cafe or bar out of several choices available.

For dinner, there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from.  If you fancy a Turkish cuisine in Cesme you can try a fish restaurant. The best ones are located in Dalyan. Dalyan alone hosts more than 10 fish restaurants side by side (small tip: Ask the price for the fish beforehand not to face an unpleasant bill).

In Cesme town centre, you can find the oldest restaurant in Cesme called Imren Restaurant. This old restaurant has all the traditional home made meals.

For international cuisine, you can go to Alacati in this pretty small town. The most famous restaurant by far is called Tuval restaurant (Fajita and rump steak are the signature dishes). This authentic restaurant consists of four villas and some of the tables are situated on the picture some streets. If it is a weekend, call the restaurant first to reserve your table. The restaurant is located on the high street.

Lavanta restaurant is another choice for the night. This place has lots of tables but again for this restaurant, reservation can be necessary (Signature dish for this restaurant is Beef Carpaccio and wild mushroom and beef risotto).

Yaya restaurant and bar is also a good choice. The portions are small but the restaurant has a nice bar where you can chill (Mojito and frozen melon is recommended) and the food tastes very good (BBQ meat or chicken is recommended). The restaurant has an authentic feeling with white decorations.

Kuytu restaurant is hard to find, located on a narrow Alacati streets but it is a perfect spot if you are hungry because this restaurant has a set menu but not an ordinary set menu, it is a feast. Several starter, several hot starter, main meals and deserts. Prices are reasonable and it is well worth it. A small tip to find this restaurant is to find Alacati Opet petrol station first. When you are facing the petrol station, you will take the tiny street on your right.

Gubiba restaurant is a choice for gourmets. The restaurant is small ( total of eight tables) but has fantastic food such as Fish Sarma, Cerkez Chicken and Paella. It is located on a small street just nearby ING bank.

O Ev Hotel has a restaurant and bar that serves delicious gourmet food but the prices are a bit expensive.

Or you can go to Yildizburnu area which is in Ilica and Yildizburnu has very nice sea view. Or recommendation is Apropo restaurant. This restaurant establish in an old villa. Serves Italian food and we advise Rockford pepper steak

Alternatively you can go to Altinkapi kebab restaurant which is the best one in Cesme. This restaurant located in Ilica and walking distance from Sheraton hotel. Our recommendation is Iskender doner and ayran.

Kircicegi pide restaurant is also a good option for those who is looking to spend less. Pide is the obvious recommendation.

Now for the Night life

Cesme has one of the best night life in Turkey. Dalyan is the favourite place to go.

Sole mare is a very good night club as well as a beach club, around 3000 capacity and has an entrance fee. Loud Turkish and international pop music.

Shayna is a medium size club located in the Dalyan Aya Yorgi bay similar with Sole mare.

In the same bay another bar has very nice atmosphere Papparazi. This bar usually plays jazz blues and after 12 it turns to rock music.

In Grand hotel Ontur there is another club you can try this club located just by the sea side and plays pop music all night.

If you are looking for Turkish live music best places to go are Nistet, Hanende and Cece bars. This bars has expensive entrance fees depending on the singers but beware this bars are even more expensive when you get in. Usually with the entrance fee you can get one local alcoholic drinks and after then most of the drinks around £10 or more for the export spirits. But it definitely worth to try.

In Pasalimani Sun Set Bar is a perfect option who wants to dance till early hours of the morning. This bar is established in a grand villa just by the sea side. The bar has several elevated levels that you can choose.
