Record Number of Visitors to Antalya
According to the Antalya Tourism and Culture Office, only in October 2010, 975,294 tourists visited Antalya, while this number is 9,165,071 since the beginning of 2010. In 2010, the number of people who visited the area increased 11%.
The head of Antalya Tourism and Culture Office, Mr Ibrahim Acar, stated that the tourism sector has became very strong and tourists are visiting the area all year round rather than just the summer season.
Next year, Turkey will attend my more than 100 exhibitions to promote destinations including Antalya and aim to attract even more visitors in the years to come.
