Kalkan ( Kalamaki) is located in a small bay. It is a port residence which is situated in the 30th km of Kas - Fethiye highway. Kalkan has developed rapidly and become the tourism centre of the region, however it is still tranquil.

Besides small cute family restaurants, you can find delicious local meals in the restaurants which are located in the marina. Fish restaurants will also be a good choice for the evening meals.
Shopping
Crafts, carpets and rugs represent a good sample of the culture of the region and the Anatolian Arts. You can purchase these crafts on the road as well as from small shops available in the region.
Nature Sports
The region is very suitable for diving. Oksuz Island is 40 minute away from the port. There are two diving points in this island. Night diving is generally preferred in shallow waters. Kalkan is very close to the other diving points where large number of sea creatures can be seen.
Kalkan Property Prices

The property prices in Kalkan is more expensive than the other sections of Turkey, however the location makes it well worth it. Villas are more common than apartments. The prices of flats generally start from £100,000 and change depending on the location. On the other hand, a detached villas with private swimming pool would be yours for £150,000 or more depending on the style.
