Izmir Kemeralti Area Info
Kemeralti is a historical bazaar which extends to a wide area starting from the Konak Avenue. Kemeralti is always lively and active, but sometimes can get overcrowded. Majority of the sections do not have any access by car due to the historical buildings and narrow streets. Kemeralti gives you the advantage walking along hundreds of shops and restaurants which all has very cheap prices. Kizlaragasi Hani was completed in 1945 and renovated in 1993. The interior of it reflect Ottoman architecture. Kizlaragasi Hani has plenty of small shops selling jewellery with Turkish beads and traditional Turkish souvenirs (including pans and pottery).Kemeralti does not really have residential properties in the centre. The area is full of traditional shops and restaurants.
