Aliaga : Aliağa, which is located 60 km north of Izmir, has traces of Izmir and Bergama civilizations. Aigaia , Kyme , Myrna and Gryneion Aiol ancient cities are located in this district centre.
Dikili : It is in the north section and 120 km away from Izmir. Dikili is a nice town which attracts local and foreign tourists. Touristic Candarlı town, which has both historical and natural beauties, is a suburb of Dikili. Among its natural beauties are; crater lake in Merdivenli village, a pine grove and historical caves in Demirtas and Deliktas villages. Dikili is also very famous with its spas. For marine transportation, Dikili Harbour serves with a dock capacity of three cruise ships.
Seferihisar : Seferihisar is a district whose settlement history dates back to B.C 1000. Seferihisar is home to the Ancient City and Karakose Ruins in Doganbey with monumental buildings belonging to Seljuk and Ottoman periods. It has beautiful bays and beaches with 27 km of coast line.
Menderes : Menderes, which gets attention with its Satsuma, beautiful bays and historical sites, is 20 km away from Izmir. There is Lebedos Ancient City in the west of the district. Gumuldur is the upcoming destination of the Satsuma mandarins. Ozdere, which is one of nine major touristic areas in the Aegean Sea, is a clean tourist resort and suitable for amateur fishers.
Karaburun : It is situated in the north of the Urla Peninsula. The settlement of the peninsula dates back to the Stone Age. Karaburun was a trade and culture centre in the Aiol, Lydia, Helen and Roman civilizations.
Urla: Urla, which has all the characteristics of the Aegean Region, is located in the central part of the peninsula and 38 km west of Izmir. Urla has been a cultural centre for many ages. With excavations, ruins were taken out belonging to the Hitit Empire.
Torbalı : Torbalı,which is 45 km east of Izmir, is home to the Ancient Metropolis City.The city which was famous for its wines, was a bishopric centre during the same period. The artefacts found during excavations are exhibited in the Izmir and Ephesus Museum.
Tire : Tire, which is one of the largest districts of Izmir, is 82 km away from the city centre. It is located in the northern slopes of the Aydın Mountains. Tire has a rich cultural heritage. Rich artefacts emerged lighting architectural history.
Kemalpasa : Kemalpaşa, which is situated 29 km east of Izmir, existed since B.C 1300. Kemalpasa, whose ancient name was Nymphion, was founded in the slopes of Nif Mountain. Kemalpasa is known for its world-famous cherry and pine forests.
