Fethiye Museum is full of History

Fethiye is a destination that once hosted Likya (Lycia) and Karya civilizations. This beautiful destination used to be called Telmessos. The unique graveyards carved into the mountains are named after the ruler of the Telmessos city, Amintas. The amphitheatre of this city which can hold 2500 people was discovered in 2003.
The museum has two sections, archaeology and ethnography. In the archaeology section, you can find items from Lycia, Persians, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman. In the ethnography section, local culture is being reflected by items such as crafts. The protected door of the Kayakoy church is also in this museum.
