Davutlar

Davutlar is situated 15 km away from Kusadasi city centre. During winter months, its population 6,000, but during summer months, the number of residents goes up to 35,000 people. Davutlar is surrounded by pine and olive trees, and it is an area where you would be able to see trees of 350 years of age. Residents can purchase fresh peach, tangerine, watermelon and tomato from the local farms. Resorts that offer hot springs and thermal waters are also very popular.

Davutlar is a popular town since the ancient times. Archaeological research show the earliest civilisations lived in the southwest Aegean lived in Davutlar area. From these old civilisations, Davutlar is also home to Findikli castle, Malia city ruins, Kursunlu monastery, Panionion and Kadikalesi (Kadi Castle).

The name of the beach that you can go to in the area is called Sevgi (Love) Beach. Dilek peninsula located in the south section of Davutlar is worth a visit for its picnic areas, tracking paths and beautiful forest. In addition, the festival that takes place every July attracts tourists into the area.
