Cesme lies in the west of Izmir, which is the third largest city in Turkey, allowing easy access from the airport. The town has narrow streets and authentic stone houses surrounded by sandy ‘blue flag’ beaches, clear blue sea and green landscape. The area is famous for its luxurious life style and nightclubs open until sunrise.
The town, especially Alacati village, is well known as the best windsurf, parasailing and sailing destination in the Mediterranean. Cesme is home to the ancient Cesme Castle and only a short bus drive from Ephesus. One of the most famous beach is Ilica Beach.
Cesme is mostly popular by domestic investors rather than foreign purchasers. Although foreigners just started to buy at the destination, until now the area has been ignored by investors from abroad. The main reason for this is that foreigners until now preferred other destinations where the property prices are much cheaper. Although there are still properties which offer value for money, majority of the properties has a big price tag, however the return on investment is much greater than the other destinations.
