Didim has a coast line of 53 km which is full of beautiful bays. The area is famous for its sandy beaches, and well known as a perfect sea, sun and sand destination.  There are hundreds of sunny days in Didim which allows to do water sports even during winter months. As well as offering a great destination to swim and sunbath, Altinkum - Didim is the home to the Temple of Apollo and very close to historic sites like Miletos.
Didim become popular in 1980s when people living in Ankara started to buy properties in the area. However, today there are a large number of buyers from abroad, especially from UK. The area is covered with British flags and pubs particularly during summer months. The investments of British people in the area increased the property prices in the past few years and it is also expected to increase in the years to come. However, the prices are still very affordable compared to other holiday destinations available in Turkey.
